Dr. Harles Harden Carter, Jr., formerly of Camden, Arkansas died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Clemson Downs.
Born in Crockett County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Eliza Holland Eason Carter and Harles Harden Carter, Sr. He was a graduate of University of Tennessee and earned his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from University of Arkansas. He was a licensed Pharmacist for many years and retired as a Pharmaceutical Representative with Upjohn Company. He moved to Clemson in in 2005 and was a member of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church. Dr. Carter was an avid golfer, a Shriner and a US Army Veteran of WWII.
Surviving are his daughter, Mary Beth (Marti) Green of Clemson; sister, Faye Carter McAteer of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Meghan Green Meece, Shannon Green Vernon and Lauren Green Fox; and great grandchildren, Jacob, Katelyn and Taylor Meece, Stewart and Sloan Vernon, and Lucy and Ryatt Fox.
Memorial Services will be held at Clemson Downs at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM, Friday, November 17, 2017 at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
Dr. Carter will be taken to Crockett County, Tennessee for services and burial. The services in Tennessee will be handled by Ronk Funeral Home in Alamo, TN.
