Harlie Hale Coomer, Sr., husband to the late Ethel Bennett Coomer, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018.
Born in Marshall County, KY, a son to the late Eddie Coomer and the late Ora Collins Coomer, He was a retired Carpenter and General Contractor and proudly served for the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Coomer was of the Baptist faith. He loved his family, farming, and fishing.
Surviving are sons, James D. Coomer (Brenda) of Liberty and Harlie H. Coomer, Jr. (Janice) of Travelers Rest; a daughter, Linda J. Burleson (Ronnie) of Powdersville; brothers, "B.T." Coomer (Elva Lee) of Weaverville, NC and Lefone Coomer (Wanda) of Benton, KY; sisters, Louise Buvia of Alpina, MI, Betty Jo McArath of Bono, AR, Patsy Coomer, and Ladoska Coomer, both of KY; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his loving wife and parents, Mr. Coomer was predeceased by brothers, Eddie Franklin and Walter Coomer; and a sister, Irene Cerveny.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Pwdersville Road. Entombment will follow at Robinson Memorial Gardens Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at the funeral home.
