Harmon F. Gilstrap

Harmon Frank Gilstrap, 79, of 107 Hillcrest Circle, died Sunday, June 25, 2006 at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.
Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Richard M. and Pearl Capps Gilstrap. He was a veteran of the US Army and was formerly a life insurance agent for Liberty Life for 25 years. Mr. Gilstrap was a member of Park Street Baptist Church where he was a long time music director, and coached the R.A. Baseball team and Men's Softball team for many years.
Surviving are a son, James "Jim" Gilstrap and his wife Nancy of St. Louis, MO; a daughter, Kim Gilstrap Kellett and her husband James of Greenville; and five grandchildren, Anna Harmony Kellett, Rachel Leah Kellett, Samantha Irene Gilstrap, Molly Nell Gilstrap, and Mia Pearl Gilstrap. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gilstrap was predeceased by his wife, Una Novita King Gilstrap; and two brothers, Wayne Gilstrap and Lewis Gilstrap.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with Reverend Dr. Alton Nix officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.
