Harold Vernon Gibson

Mr. Harold Vernon Gibson, 86, husband of the late Peggy Jean Freeman Gibson, went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2020.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late William David Gibson and the late Myrtle Satterfield Gibson, he was a franchise owner and operator of Mac Tools and a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners International. He loved his family deeply and enjoyed traveling with his wife in a 1923 Model T, which he restored. Mr. Gibson was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and proudly served our country in the US Army.
Surviving are a daughter, Wanda Lou Gibson of Easley; a brother, Coy Gibson of Athens, GA; two sisters, Katie Cantrell of Six-Mile, and Grace Sweatman of Easley; two grandchildren, Shannon Lecroy (Ben) of Pickens, and Jamie Owens (Lesley) of Easley; and six great-grandchildren, Kane Owens, Lauren McGaha, Rebecca Lecroy, Hannah Owens and Aurora Owens.
In addition to his parents and his loving wife of 65 years, Mr. Gibson was predeceased by a brother, Robert Gibson; and a sister, Willette Roper Adams.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Westview Cemetery in Easley.
