Harold Thomas Loftis, 86, of 116 Banner Drive, went to be with the Lord Wednesday August 15, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Markley and Maggie Allsep Loftis. Mr. Loftis was a U.S. Army - Air Force veteran of W.W. II. He retired from Duke Energy Company after 29 years of service and later retired from Bilo, Inc. He was a member of Tremont Church of God where he was a member of the Senior Adult Men's Sunday School Class, a Captain of the Usher Committee and was active in various ministries of the church.
Surviving are his wife, Myrtle Crisp Loftis, of the home; a daughter, Joan L. Wedekind and her husband, Russ, of Greenville; two grandchildren, SaDonna Buchanan and her husband, Jason, of Piedmont and Travis Kay and his wife, Candice, of Easley; four great-grandchildren, Trevor Buchanan,Tyler Buchanan , Carson Kay and Chandler Kay.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Friday in the Chapel at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, conducted by the Reverend Tim Kerns and the Reverend Bob Gibson. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
