Jimmy Harold McNeely, 78, of Powdersville, husband of Melba Ausburn McNeely for fifty eight years, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away September 10, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Clyde Copeland and Irene Orr McNeely. He was a 1954 graduate of Welcome High School and retired from Franklin Dyed Yarns after forty three years of service.
Mr. McNeely was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and the Prayer Warriors Bible Fellowship. He also volunteered with Meals on Wheels of Anderson County.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Revonda McNeely Leslie (James)and Michele McNeely White; five grandchildren, Lance Leslie (Vicki), Lauren Leslie Butterfield (Matthew), Chrystina Leslie, Neely and Samuel White; three great-grandchildren, Alleigh and Elisabeth Leslie, and Gracyn Butterfield; three brothers, Cecil, Louie and Ted McNeely.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Troy McNeely and a sister, Ruth Galloway.
Funeral services will be Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 4:30 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road, with burial to follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until 4:15 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of James and Revonda Leslie, 10322 Anderson Road, Easley, SC 29642.
