Command Sergeant Major Harold William Rampey, USA, Retired, 88, husband of Joretta Stone Rampey, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 15, 2019.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Thomas Dea Rampey and the late Sallie Pressley Rampey, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with his family. Mr. Rampey was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for twenty-one years. He was a veteran of the Korean War as well as the Vietnam War.
Surviving, in addition to his his wife of sixty-seven years, are sons, Bill Rampey (Rhonda) of Piedmont and Mark Rampey (Cathey Charlene) of Easley; a brother, Kenneth Rampey (Linda); a sister, Bobbie Pilgrim, both of Liberty; and grandsons, Nathan Rampey (Ariel) and Daniel Rampey.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the funeral home, prior to the service.
