Harold M. Rowland, 86, of Rowland Drive, Central, and husband of the late Annie Head Rowland, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 29, 2014.
Mr. Rowland was born in Pickens County a son of the late Miles and Lydia Gillespie Rowland. He retired from Cannon Mills after forty six years service and was a member of Central Fire Baptized Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are four sons, David H. (Juanita) Rowland of Anderson, John E. (Carolyn) Rowland of Liberty, Cecil R. (Martha) Rowland, and Thomas G. (Susan) Rowland both of Central; one daughter, Ann Hamlin, of Seneca; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he was predeceased by a son in law, Clint Hamlin, a grandson, Jason Rowland and three brothers, Chris, Gene, and Willis Rowland.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 4:00 PM, in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM prior to the service.
The family extends a special thanks to Dale Pilgrim for his care and friendship during our fathers illness.
The family will be at the home of Tom and Susan Rowland, 125 Rowland Drive, Central, SC 29630.
