Mr. Harold Leonard "Hal" Smith Jr., 81, of Piedmont, loving husband of Janice Caldwell Smith, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at his residence.

Hal was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on May 9, 1935 to the late Harold Leonard Smith, Sr. and Ruth Isabell Arnold Smith.

In addition to his loving wife, Hal is survived by two sons; Kenneth of Michigan and Ron of Indiana; three daughters; Virginia, Teresa, and Darleen, all of Michigan; and two step-sons; Curtis and Billy Gillespie.
