Reverend Harold Paul Thompson, 90, of Easley, and formerly of Hillburn, New York, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.

Born in Manhattan, Rev. Thompson was the son of the late James and Rachel Octavia James Thompson. He graduated from Valley Forge Christian College. Rev. Thompson was a retired Assembly of God Minister, having pastored Lighthouse Assembly in Hillburn, New York for forty years. He attended Trinity Christian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Elizabeth Bagley Thompson, of the home; one son, H. Paul Thompson, Jr., and his wife, Robin, of Greenwood; and one sister, Florence Thompson, of Teaneck, New Jersey. Rev. Thompson was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Trinity Christian Church, 110 Cooper Lane, Powdersville. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown and will be placed in the church at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday.
