Harriet Elizabeth Kitchin Giles, age 82, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2023, surrounded by her family and friends following an extended illness. 

Born in Greenville, SC on August 12,1940, she was the widow of Hollie R. Giles Jr and daughter of Dr.Jesse Walton and Marjorie Nelmes Kitchin of Liberty, SC.

She was a RN for Easley Baptist Hospital, now Prisma Easley, where she retired after 42 years of dedicated service, and was a member of Easley Church of God.  

Surviving is a son, Scott (Angel) Giles of Easley, three grandchildren; Cole Crawford, Cameron, and Cason Giles and one great-grandchild; Grayson Crawford, one nephew; Walton (Janice) Roberts, two nieces; Sharri (John) Parks, Midge Roberts, five great-nieces; Anna and Jessica Parks, Jesi Hooper, Ivey, and Erica Bolding, four cousins; Rick Nelmes and family of Pickens, Mike Shoemaker, Midge Yergen, Susie Magana, and families of Washington State.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Hollie R. Giles, three sisters, Cynthia S., and Linda K. Kitchin, Roberta K. Roberts, a nephew, Eric Bolding and her cherished friend of 70 years, Marlene “Marly” Rodgers. 

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM Thursday, February 9, 2023 in the chapel at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.   Burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.  

The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM at the funeral home, prior to the service.
