Harvey Virgil Smith, Jr., 79, husband of the late Janet Cornett Smith, of Easley, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Born in Transylvania Co., NC, he was a son of the late Ethel Holden and Harvey Smith, Sr.

He retired after 34 years as the "Bread Man" for Sunbeam Bread and previously attended Cannon Memorial Baptist Church in Central. In his free time, he enjoyed trout fishing and rabbit hunting.

Harvey is survived by a son, Jonathan Smith (Holly) of Easley; a daughter, Brandy Ross (John) of Six Mile; four grandchildren, Emily McIntyre (Cooper), Wyatt Ross (Charity), Chase Smith, and Cooper Smith; and three great-grandchildren, John Cooper, Jackson, and Hallie.

In addition to loving wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Smith.
