Heaven received a new Angel on August 12, 2015 when Mrs. Hazel Willene Medlin Bagwell went home to be with her Lord and Savior at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Hazel was born in Lavonia, GA on September 15, 1918 to the late Oscar and Bonnie Hand Medlin. The wife of the late Lonnie Leon Bagwell, she worked for many years in the various cotton mills around Easley. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, and was a member of Bible Methodist Church for over 40 years before moving her membership to the Neighborhood Church, where her Grandson is pastor.

Hazel is survived by a son; Janis Bagwell of the Home; a daughter; Nadine Stvan of Atlanta, GA; a brother; Fred Medlin of Hartwell, GA; two sisters; Jeanette Blackburn of Greenville, and Eula Slater of Hartwell, GA; and seven grandchildren; Nycia Craig (Greg), Warren Boatman (Lori), Scott Bagwell (Elizabeth), David Bagwell (Hali), Liza Ells (David), Leslie Wolfe (Rick), and Laura Koerwitz (Fred). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; Camron, Chelsey, Emily, Emily, Halia, Savannah, Patrick, Jacklyn, Alex, Brandon, Melissa, Lauren, and Braedon; and her best friend; Ruby Fisher of Easley. She was preceded in death by her son; Larry Leon Bagwell.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, August 14, 2015 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Friday prior to the service from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM at the Funeral Home.
