Hazel Francis Cope

Hazel Francis Duncan Cope, 82, wife of the late John Clay Cope, of Pickens, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

Born in Pickens, she was a daughter of the late DeLeis Duncan and the late Avanell Arnold Archie. 

She was a member of West End Baptist Church for many years. She worked as a spinner for Woodside Mill in Easley. She enjoyed spending her free time in the mountains in North Carolina.

Mrs. Cope is survived by sons, Roger Cope of Six Mile, Randell Cope of Liberty, and Ricky Cope of Pickens, and Ronnie McCall; and grandchildren Johnathan Cope and Tiffany Malpass.

In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Kenneth Duncan, Fred Duncan, Dewight Duncan; and sisters Carolyn Knight, Ivy Duncan, and Nellie Owens.
