Cincinnati, Ohio

Hazel Lovell Crowe, 81, the precious mother of Retta (Paul) McCulley, wife of the late Cecil "Chick" Crowe, and loving sister of the late Roy Lovell was received into the loving arms of Jesus on October 24, 2006.

Hazel was born in Liberty July 13, 1925 a dear daughter of the late Tom and Lillie Bryant Lovell. A graduate of Liberty High School, Hazel worked briefly at Liberty Textile Mill and later helped operate the family grocery business. Hazel later moved to Batavia, Ohio where she resided at the Batavia Nursing and Convalescent Inn. Hazel was a faithful member of Calumet Baptist Church where she was an inspiration to all who knew her.

In addition to her daughter she is survived by three sisters-in-law, Geneva (Roy) Lovell, Amelda (Lowell) Crowe, and Sarah Crowe McGee; aunts and uncles, Margie Bryant (Earl) Fowler, Joyce Bryant (Willie) Porter, Ruth Ann Bryant Fowler, Heyward (Frankie) Bryant and R. L. Bryant; many nieces and nephews including special niece Judy Lovell (Jon) Crabtree and family of Chattanooga, Tn.

Graveside funeral services were held October 27, 2006 with the Reverend Paul McCulley officiating.
