Hazel Dallas Johnson Durham, 79, of Pendleton, widow of Drayton Emory Durham went to be with the Lord on her Mother's birthday, Sunday, July 26, 2015 at her home.
Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Gertrude Swaney Johnson. Hazel was a retired sales associate with Garrett's Clothing in Clemson. She was a very active member of Fant's Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the WMU, the choir and the Ladies Sunday School Class.
Surviving are a daughter, Peggy (Gary) Porter of Pendleton; daughter-in-law, Karen Durham of Pendleton; grandchildren, Nicholas Porter, Kayla Porter and her fiance, Eddie Skinner, Kari Slaton, Kendal (Justin) Manning, and Kinsley Durham; great grandchildren, Drayton Porter, McCarson Porter, Shania Reeves, Eddie Skinner II, Kayden Emory Skinner and Tyler Slaton. She was excited to know that Baby Skinner and Baby Manning would soon be added to her great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she dearly loved, she was predeceased by her parents and her son Gary Durham.
Funeral services will be 4 PM, Wednesday at Fants Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in Memory Gardens, Clemson.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:50 PM, prior to the service at the church.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Fants Grove Baptist Church, 531 Porter Road, Pendleton, SC 29670.
The family is at the home of the granddaughter, 1001 Central Road, Pendleton, SC 29670.
