Hazel A. Gantt

Hazel Adams Gantt, 82, of 104 Summit Drive, wife of the late William "Mack" Gantt, to whom she was married for sixty-three years, died Monday, September 22, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late William C. and Daisy Ramey Adams, Mrs. Gantt retired from the nursing profession and was a lifelong member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Lucille Searcy Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Gantt was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are daughters, Carole G. Ward, Judy G. Brown (Tony), and Jan G. Keasler (Barry), all of Easley; grandchildren, Marc Brown (Jennifer), Michael Finley, Kristin Merchant, and Aimee Brown; great-grandchildren, Maggie, Olivia, Molly and Adam Brown; Chase Tinsley, Hannah and Emma Grace Mitchum, William and Nathan Merchant; and Megan and Morgan Finley and their mother, Melissa. She was predeceased by her husband, parents and by a brother, James A. Adams, a sister, Louise A. Foster, and a granddaughter, Leigh B. Mitchum.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Andrew United Methodist Church with Rev. Barry Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and will be placed in the church at 3:00 p.m. Thursday.
