Hazel Cox Leopard, 74, of Central, wife of the late Billy Ray Leopard, passed away June 24, 2025.
Born in Seneca, she was the daughter of the late Charlie James Cox and Bethel Cleo Evatt Cox. Hazel worked for J.P. Stevens for many years before retiring from Reliable Sprinkler as an assembler. She enjoyed filming and watching old camcorder videos of family gatherings and listening to tapes of her sisters, Frances and Shirley and brother-in-law, Garland singing. Mrs. Leopard also enjoyed cooking, baking brownies, and pink roses, especially from her rose bush at home. Hazel will be remembered for her love of family and living life to the fullest.
She is survived by her son, Randy Leopard and wife Jane of Central; granddaughter, Lily Hawkins Leopard of Central; sister, Shirley Hendricks of Seneca.
Mrs. Leopard is predeceased by her husband, parents, and siblings, Bud Cox, Melvin Cox, Calvin Cox, Charles Cox, Michael Wayne Cox, Mildred Cox, Frances Jenkins, Mozelle Smith, Ruby Smith, and Helen Bolt.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, followed by burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
