Hazel Looper

Hazel Johnson Looper, 79, of 202 Spring Drive, widow of Harold Ford Looper, Sr., died Sunday, February 1, 2009, at the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Monroe, NC.
Mrs Looper was a daughter of the late Leo Vitrulius and Louise Cooper Johnson. She was a lifelong resident of Pickens County, a graduate of Easley High School and a homemaker. Mrs. Looper was member of First Baptist Church of Easley and the Friendship Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Regina L. Mullinax of Concord, NC: a son, Harold Ford "Hal" Looper, Jr., of Easley, a sister, Doris Chapman of Spartanburg, five grandchildren; Lisa Mullinax of Concord, NC, Brandon, Christina, Daniel and Michelia Looper, all of Pickens. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Looper was predeceased by a brother, Charles Johnson.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:30 Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Steve Davis, Associate Pastor of Parkwood Baptist Church, Concord, NC, and the Rev. Dr. John Adams, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Easley, officiating.
Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to First Baptist Church Friedship Club, 300 East First Avenue, Easley, SC, or to the Hazel Looper Memorial Garden Fund, in care of Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Monroe (Reflections Unit), 1212 East Sunset Drive, Monore, NC 28112.
