Hazel G. Millsaps, Clemson
Hazel Garland Millsaps, 91, died Sunday, December 16, 2007 at the Clemson Downs. Born in Graham County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Gardner and Rosetta Sawyer Garland. She began her teaching career in a one room school house in Cable Cove, NC and retired after 42 years of service in educating the children of Graham County. She received her Masters Degree from Western Carolina University.
She is survived by a son, Barry Millsaps, Central, SC; daughter, Barbara LeFevre, Knoxville, TN; eight grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and eight step-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by eight brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 20 at 2pm at Robbinsville First Baptist Church with interment to follow at Old Mother Church Cemetery in Robbinsville, NC. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:30-8:30pm at Townsend- Smith Funeral Home in Robbinsville, NC.
