Hazel Nancy Holmes Peek, 86, of 620 Old Shirley Road and widow of R. B. Peek, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at her home.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late R. B. and Annie Thomas Holmes. Hazel was a homemaker and was of the Church of God faith.
Surviving are three sons, Willard J. Gillespie (Pauline) of Easley, Doug Peek and Robert T. Peek both of Central; daughter, Nancy Karen Edwards of Central; brother, Lewis Holmes of Pendleton; grandchildren, Jimmy Gillespie, Bradley Gillespie, Jeremy Peek, Brandy Coffey, Joshua Peek, Terah Peek, Cory Peek, Eric Edwards and T.J. Edwards; and 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Charles Holmes; sisters, Gladys Whitman and Ruth Gilreath; and two grandchildren, Christopher Peek and Karen Nicole Edwards.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Thursday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 PM, Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
