Mrs. Hazel Southerland Robinson, 94, died Friday, May 12, 2006 in Penick Village in Southern Pines.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 20, at 2:00 PM in Southern First Baptist Church with Dr. David Helms officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Ms. Robinson was born in Easley, SC on June 16, 1911, daughter of the late Lawrence and Katherine Guffie Southerland. She retired to Southern Pines in 1996 from Easley, where she was a member of McKissock Memorial United Methodist Church and active in the Methodist Women's Christian Service. She worked at the Alice Plant for 25 years and operated the canteen there with her husband for 10 years. She also had 4 year diploma from Clemson University in home demonstrations, was an avid flower gardener, as well as antique collector.
She is survived by a son, Jack Robinson and wife Myra of Southern Pines; 4 brothers, Lowell, Harold, and Billy Southerland all of Easley, Larry Southerland of Anderson; a sister, Willine Garrison of Anderson; 2 grandchildren, Jack Robinson, Jr, and Missy Miller; 2 great-grandchildren, Will and Brice Robinson.

A graveside committal service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 2, 2006 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley, SC.
