Hazel Juanita Thomas, 82, of Central died Sunday, July 5, 2015.

Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Eulice Covie Thomas, Sr. and Nannie Ayers Thomas. Hazel retired from Clemson University as an accounting clerk and later retired from SWU as Director of Faculty Services. She was a longtime and active member of Mount Vernon Holiness Church in Seneca where she taught Sunday School and was a former director of the Holiness Association youth camp.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Barbara Thomas of Central; nieces and nephews, Beverly Moore, Buford Hedden, Donna Garrett, Teresa Reynolds, Ronnie Thomas and Rhonda Leopard; 13 great nieces and nephews; and 20 great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brother, Eulice "Jack" Thomas, Jr, sister, Doris Hedden; and niece, Marla Rhoads; and nephew, Greg Thomas.

Funeral services will be 4 PM, Tuesday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central and burial will follow in Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:50 PM, Tuesday prior to the service at the chapel.

The family will be at her home.
