Helen Shirley Cobb, 81, of 253 Sheffield Road and wife of John R. Cobb, died Sunday at her residence.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Sam and Ruby James Shirley, she was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Shirley Bell and husband, Bob of Mauldin, Myra Davis of Greer and Charlotte Babson and husband, David of Ash, NC; two sons, John R. Cobb Jr. of Piedmont and Mike Cobb and wife, Suzanne of Greenwood; three brothers, Vernon Shirley, Dwight Shirley and Billy Shirley all of Central; one sister, Sara James of Central; and 13 grandchildren,Teresa Owen, Greg Owen, Zack Babson, Erica Babson, John Ed Davis, Spencer Davis, Graham Cobb, Grace Cobb, Coursey Cobb, Joe Bell, Ellen Cobb, Christine Cobb and Roland Cobb.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Roger Owen; and a sister, Louise Gooch.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Wednesday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM, Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
