Helen Gentry Shirley Corn, 95, of Easley, wife of the late Dr. Charles G. Shirley and the late Gaines E. Corn, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018.
Born in Easley, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Rosalie Howard Gentry.
Mrs. Corn was a graduate of Easley High School and the College of Commerce in Greenville. She was retired from Facemate Corporation in Greenville and was a member of Easley United Methodist Church where she was a member of the W.M.U., Circle #5, Flower Club. She was also a former member of the Extension Homemakers and Easley Women's Club.
Surviving are her sons, Charles G. Shirley, Jr. (Yvonne) of Albuquerque, NM and J. Paul Shirley of Easley; grandchildren, Benjamin Shirley, Jonathan Shirley, Christopher Shirley and Emma Shirley; a great granddaughter, Isabella Esposito; and a brother, Reverend Foster Gentry (Sylvia) of Pickens.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was predeceased by a step daughter, Pamela Shirley; a sister, Sarah G. McQueen; and four brothers, Howard Gentry, David Gentry, Frank Gentry and Jack Gentry.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 2:00 PM in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
