Helen Pauline New Garrick Forehand, 93, of 151 Mitchell Road, Apt. E-2, died Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Fitzgerald, GA, she was a daughter of the late C.S. and Ellen Fuller New. She worked as a buyer and salesclerk for Belk Department Store for 37 years, and was of the Methodist Faith.
Surviving are a son, Thomas S. Garrick of Oak Island, NC; a daughter, Mary Ellen Forehand of Greenville; four grandchildren, Barbara Lynn Garrick Brockman, Stephen S. Garrick, Robert Franklin Garrick, Sandra Pearson; eleven great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard Roy Forehand; a son, Collins H. "Bob" Garrick; and several brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will by 4:00 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association; PO Box 10794; Greenville, SC 29603.
