Helen Louise Lyman Hammond, 78, of Elrod Rd., wife of the late Richard Gene Hammond, Sr., passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at her home.
Born November 13, 1936 in Dayton, Oregon, she was the daughter of Thelma Freshour Lyman and the late Tommy Lyman. Mrs. Hammond was a homemaker who took care of and loved her family.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Joann Nimmons (Ralph), Ricky Hammond, Jr., Nina Nichols (Tim), Juanita Couvilier (Mark), Rudy Hammond, Mary Garrett (Terry) and David Hammond; brothers, Ralph Lyman and Leslie Lyman; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, January 5, 2015 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Bethel Church of God Cemetery in Pelzer.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
