Helen Sisk Haun, 93, of Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Community passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. Born in Clemson SC, she was the daughter of Tom and Hattie Newton and the widow of Joseph R. Haun. Helen retired from Clemson University's registrar's office.
Helen loved life, enjoyed travel, reading and entertaining. She took pride in her home and was always ready to host friends and family for any occasion. Family was important to Helen, she always encouraged everyone to stay close. Helen had a wonderful sense of humor and shared many funny sayings that will keep her in our thoughts forever.
Helen is survived by her son Tim Sisk and his wife Kathy of Greenville; along with two grandchildren, Lindsey Sisk Connell and her husband John of Myrtle Beach and Leighton Sisk of Charleston. In addition, she leaves behind five stepsons and their families; Mike Haun of California, Alan Haun and Jeff Haun both of Hawaii, Steve Haun of North Carolina and David Haun of Virginia.
In addition to her parents and late husband, she was predeceased by three siblings, Thomas Newton Jr, Mildred Newton Ehrhardt and Francis Newton Butler as well as her first husband Quentin R. Sisk.
A celebration of life service will be held on her birthday, February 15, 2020 at Noon in the Chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central SC.
