Helen Dilworth Heilemann, 77, formerly of Simpsonville, died Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Lila Doyle Nursing Care Facility in Seneca, SC.
Born in North Wales, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Henry and Helen Vallentine Dilworth. She held a Masters in Education and formerly taught at East Quogue Elementary School in East Quogue, NY. Mrs. Heilemann was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church in Simpsonville.
Surviving are a son, Harry Heilemann and wife Nancy of Clemson, SC; two brothers, Charles Dilworth and wife Patricia of Allentown, PA, Richard Dilworth of McLean, VA; two sisters, Bertha Gerhart and husband Herbert of Hatfield, PA, Patricia Smith and husband Douglas of Telford, PA; two grandchildren, Melinda H. Schmidt and husband Mark of Duncan, SC, Jason F. Heilemann of Clemson, SC; and a great-granddaughter, Ansley Dilworth Schmidt.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday at Hopewell United Methodist Church in Simpsonville, SC with Reverend Linda McNat officiating. Burial will follow in Cannon Memorial Park in Fountain Inn, SC.
Visitation will be prior to the service on Friday from 10 AM until 11 AM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopewell United Methodist Church; 1420 Neely Ferry Road; Simpsonville, SC 29680 or donate books to your local elementary school in memory of Mrs. Heilemann.
