Helen Elaine Medlock

Helen Elaine Childs Medlock, 85, wife of the late James Albert Medlock, of Easley, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023.

Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Gladys Tumblin Childs. 

Elaine was a member of Peters Creek Baptist Church and loved going to the beach, singing music of any type, and playing jokes. She was a wonderful, caring, and kind woman who saw the good in everything and everyone. She was a beautiful lady who loved life and being with her family and was truly a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Elaine is survived by daughters, Dianne Snow (Wayne) of Travelers Rest, Tonya Farrell (Randy) of Marietta, and Sheria Sterling (Gary) of Easley; a brother, Joe Childs of Travelers Rest; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Jack Yearwood; her son, James Richard "Ricky" Medlock; a grandson, Trad Sterling; and a brother, Larry Childs.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, Downtown. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park in Travelers Rest.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the funeral home.
