Helen Gillespie Morrison

Helen Gillespie Morrison, 89, wife of the late J. P. Morrison, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at National Health Care of Anderson.
Mrs. Morrison was born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Sloan and Pauline Hawkins Gillespie, was retired from Central Textiles and was a member of Cannon Memorial Baptist Church and most recently attended Parkwood Baptist Church in Anderson.
Surviving are a son, Robby Morrison of Six Mile, two daughters, Becky (Bobby) Davis of Starr and Gail (Johnny) Whitfield of Anderson; a sister, Sue Spearman of Pickens; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Allen, Bluford, Max, and Larry Gillespie.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, followed by entombment in Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of a grandson, Mickey Byers, 205 Cynthia Drive, Anderson, SC 29625.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
