Helen Ruth New

Helen Ruth New, 90, of Clemson, wife of the late Emanual DeLane New, passed away August 27, 2022.

Born in Newberry, SC, she was the eighth child of the late James Langford DeHart and Mary Helen DeHart.  Helen was a sixty-one year resident of Martinez, GA and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.  She enjoyed baking, sewing, crocheting, and word puzzles.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Dale Campbell; son; Gene Aubrey New (Susan); grandchildren, Keith Schlachter, Shayne Campbell (Misti), James New, Christopher New, and Joseph New.  Mrs. New is also survived by four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Helen was predeceased by her husband, parents, and daughter, Miriam Elizabeth New.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 4594 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Baptist Church in Martinez, GA.
