Helen R. Sexton

Helen Reece Sexton, 71, of 408 Graham Street, went home to be with her Lord Monday, December 17, 2012 at her home.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Duke and Pauline Nix Reece, Mrs. Sexton retired from the Glenwood Plant of Mayfair Mills and was a member of Open Praise Fellowship.
Surviving are her husband, William W. Sexton of the home; a son, Roger Sexton (Lisa) of Seneca; a daughter, Michelle Powell (Jason) of Pickens; two brothers, Ralph Reece of Liberty and Carl Reece of Pickens; three sisters, Mildred Derossett and Jean Capell, both of Pickens, and Linda Finley of Easley; six grandchildren, Kaley Powell, Cody Powell, Lynette Brackett, Amber Wirtz, Bill Sexton, Joey Sexton and Ronnie Rogers; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sexton was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Martin and by a granddaughter, Crystal Sexton.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Open Praise Fellowship with Rev. Roland Bearden and Rev. Doug Saylors officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown where the family will be receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday and will be placed in the church at 1:30 PM Wednesday
