Helen Jacobs VanOrsdale, 94, formerly of Quail Haven Drive, wife of the late Laurence Severence VanOrsdale, Sr., went home to be with her heavenly father on Saturday, September 16, 2006, at Countryside Village.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Mrs. VanOrsdale was a daughter of Frederick and Madelyn Jacobs. She was a homemaker and a member of Easley Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Laurence Severence "Larry" and Dorene VanOrsdale, Jr. of Taylors; three grandchildren, Robin and Michael Chasteen of Rocky Mount, N.C.; Mark and Beth VanOrsdale of Moore, S.C. and Kevin and Charlene VanOrsdale of Landrum, S.C; and two great-grandchildren, Kristin VanOrsdale and Jon VanOrsdale.
A graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Reverend Steve Vance officiating.
Family members are at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1501 NW Ninth Avenue, Miami, FL 33136 or Easley Presbyterian Church, 200 South First Street, Easley, S.C. 29640.
