Henry Earl Hood, 80, of 1502 Dacusville Hwy, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010.
Mr. Hood was a son of the late Frank Earl and Mamie Lee Hudson Hood. He retired from Winn Dixie Stores after 35 years as a store manager and was a life long member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. He was a cattle farmer and with his dedication to soil and water conservation he earned a life time achievement award.
Surviving are his wife; Luella Cox Hood, a son George and his wife Donna, a daughter Susan Tate and her husband, Rick, all of Easley. Four grandchildren, Zachary and Tyler Hood, Amanda Foster (Ryan) Jessica Merck (Clint) and Audrey Tate. Two great grandchildren Ella Beth and London Foster.
Mr Hood was predeceased by a sister, Mary Hendricks.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 5, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 PM Friday prior to the service.
Private graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, following the funeral service.
Memorials may be made to Cross Roads Baptist Church, 160 Cross Roads Church Rd. Easley, SC 29640.
