Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Earl Monroe Lollis and the late Clara Wilson Lollis. Mr. Lollis proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, and he worked for many years as an insurance salesman for Liberty Life and State Farm. Following his insurance career, Mr. Lollis enjoyed working in real estate. He was an avid hunter who enjoyed umpiring softball games which he did until this past Spring. Other than enjoying spending time with his family and telling stories of his life experiences, Grady thoroughly enjoyed volunteering and giving back to his community. Some of his volunteer work honors included Sertoma Club-Sertomaman of the Decade and 2012 Volunteer of the Year for the Big League/Senior League World Series where he served as the transportation coordinator from 2001-2019. Grady was also part of the Easley High School Booster Club where he served as President and part of the Easley Football film crew. He was a former member and Deacon at Brushy Creek Baptist Church and Mt. Airy Baptist Church, where he served as Chairman of the Deacons. He was currently an active member of Rock Springs Baptist Church where he willingly served in many capacities such as being the President of the Victory Sunday School Class, helping with the Men In Action group, driving a shuttle bus, helping organize the Critter Cook, and assisting with the counting committee. Grady loved everyone from newborn to senior citizen and was loved by everyone with whom he came into contact. He was truly a genuine man of God.
