Herman M. Merck

Herman Melvin Merck, 76, of 135 Courtney Drive, passed away Saturday July 16, 2011.
Mr. Merck was born in Liberty, SC, a son of the late Reverend Frank and Nettie Swords Merck. He worked for Carl Blackston and Black's Grading Company as a heavy machinery operator and attended Enon Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Lea Summers Merck, of the home; two sons, Steven Merck and Todd Merck, both of Easley; three daughters, Wanda Hendricks and Melinda Wallace, both of Easley and Carol Keller, of Ware Shoals; two brothers, Grady Merck and Fulton Merck, both of Liberty; two sisters, Clara Sanders, of Liberty and Mae Holden, of Easley; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Lester Merck, Jule Merck, Furman Merck and Luther Merck and a sister, Addie Edens.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM Wednesday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
