Hershel “Gene” Eugene Hall, 79, husband of Bettie Jean Ferguson Hall passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in Greenville, SC.

Born in Magoffin County, KY, he is the son of the late Garfield and Mary Bolen Hall.   Gene retired from Lockhead Martin in 2000 after 15 yrs of service. He was a Retired US Air Force Veteran, and attended Powdersville First Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his brothers Garland, Elwood and Edgar Hall.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, Bettie Jean Hall, of 42 years, are his children Christopher Hall of Atlanta, GA and Randa Mellon (Rob) of Easley, and stepson Michael Wilson of Charleston;7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.He is also survived by his sister’s Loretta Hamilton and Rose Holland (Clinton) of Kentucky

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 31st at Powdersville First Baptist Church, 4212 SC-153, Easley, SC 29643 with Rev. Miles Bridges and Rev. David Bagwell officiating. Interment will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM Saturday, January 30th at Powdersville First Baptist Church.

Family has requested donations be made directly to the American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203.
