Hewlett Pope, 62, passed away on October 13, 2016 after a long illness.  He was a lover of life and people and he never met a stranger.  He was a musician and avid historian.

He leaves behind a loving wife, Karen Hubbard Pope; two brothers, Miller Pope of Ocean Isle Beach, NC and Thomas Pope of West Jefferson, NC; and a sister, Maude (Dee) Reid of Greenville, SC.

He was predeceased by his parents, Jacob Miller, Sr. and Lucille Hunt Pope of Pickens, SC.

Graveside services will be 4 PM, Tuesday at Memory Gardens, Clemson, SC.

The family will gather with friends following the service at the home of Jane Hunter, 116 Keller Blvd in Patrick Square in Clemson, SC 29631.
