Hilda Mae McGee Tripp Dragos went to be with her Lord and Savior November 21, 2017.
Hilda is survived by a brother, Billy McGee (Julia); nieces, Nancy Land and Rebecca Hood (David); a nephew, Michael McGee; a great-niece, Michelle McGee; great-nephews, Gregg Land, Jonathan Hood, Justin Hood, and Colton McGee; great-great-nephew, Kaleb Hood; and great-great-niece, Madison Knye.
Hilda was born April 3, 1926, to the late Dillard E. McGee and Minnie Smith McGee.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Sylvia Obera Tripp; husbands, Vaughan Tripp and Joseph T. Dragos; a sister, Obera McGee Reed; brother, Dillard E. McGee; a great-nephew, Jason McGee; and a step-daughter, Patti Dragos Eastman.
Hilda graduated from Easley High School and attended Winthrop University. She lived in San Antonio, Texas for many years and retired from the railroad company.
She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church, a former member of the Powdersville Garden Club, and she also delivered Meals on Wheels.
Hilda and her late husband, Joe were members of the Airstream Club and traveled around the U.S.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2017, at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2017, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
The families will be at their respective homes.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Linda Elliott, Naomi Merck, Stephanie Dobbins, Joy Hester, and Karen Griffin for the care and concern shown to their loved one.
The family respectfully requests no flowers.
