Hollie Roscoe Giles, Jr., 74, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Spartanburg County, the son of the late Rev. Hollie Roscoe Giles, Sr., and the late Helen Burrell Giles, Mr. Giles retired from Sangamo Electric, was a member of Easley Church of God and a US Army Veteran. Hollie was an avid Gamecock fan and had a passion for hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife of forty-eight years, Harriet Kitchin Giles of the home; a son, Scott Giles and his wife, Angel, of Liberty; and three grandsons, Cole, Cameron and Cason, who knew him as Papa Hollie. In addition to his parents, Mr. Giles was predeceased by a sister, Patsy G. Bolding.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at the home of his sister-in-law, Roberta Roberts, 154 Fruit Mountain Road, Easley, SC 29640.
