Homer Gary Barker, 62, of 3676 W. Georgia Road, died Wednesday May 7, 2008
at his home.

Mr. Barker was born in Pickens County, a son of the late Homer Lafayette and
Annie Laura Hendrix Barker. He retired from B&B Express Trucking Company and
was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous
and was a Baptist.

Surviving are his wife, Debbie Hardman Barker, of the home ; a son, Gary
Barker and his wife, Amy, of Table Rock ; four step-sons, Mike Luby, of
Easley, Chris Luby, of Columbus, Georgia, Jeremy Mullins, of Greenville and
Ryan Barker, of Table Rock ; a brother, Ricky Barker and his wife, Debbie,
of Table Rock ; four sisters, Linda Conner, of Walterboro, SC, Helen Roper,
of Pickens, Joyce Cantrell, of Spartanburg and Ruby Dover, of Table Rock ; 6
grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Earl
Barker and Harold Barker.

Memorial Services will be 6:30 PM Saturday at Christ The Saviour Antiochian
Orthodox Church in Anderson, with Father David J. Randolph officiating.
