Homer Rackley

Homer Rackley, 90, formerly of 119 Front Street, Liberty, husband of the late Virginia Lucille Hawkins Rackley, died Sunday, October 12, 2008, at the Brian Center in Hendersonville, NC.
Born in Pickens, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Edward Rackley, he was a retired employee with Mohawk Mill in Liberty and was a veteran of the US Army.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy R. Crymes of Gaffney; two sons, Marvin Rackley of Pelzer and Preston Rackley of Pickens; two sisters, Nora Atkins of Pickens and Elsie Bruce of Liberty; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by three daughters, Betty Kitchens, Brenda Dinkens, and Judy Martin.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with burial to follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8, Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of a granddaughter, Lisa Hayes, 108 Darlene Ave, Easley, SC 29640.
