Horst Boettge, 92, of Clemson, SC, husband of Margie Boettge, passed away July 15, 2022.

Born in Halle, Germany, later relocating to upstate South Carolina, and a resident of Clemson for 50 years. Mr. Boettge retired after 32 years as an Engineering Manager at Dynacast, a Division of Coats and Clark, Inc. in Seneca.

Mr. Boettge had a love for the lakes and was a Founding member and first Commander of the Golden Corner Lakes Power Squadron (USPS). Mr. Boettge had a 39-year history with the USPS and served as a key member of the USPS Co-Op Charting Committee for many years.

Mr. Boettge is survived by his wife of almost 70 years Margie Boettge, his son Ralph Boettge of Loganville, GA, and partner Sundi Bright; his daughter Jutta Boettge Tolbert of Tallahassee, FL; and grandchildren Anneliese Diana Tolbert and partner Jason Dale, Andrew Tolbert, and Jesse Tolbert.

Mr. Boettge is predeceased by his son Juergen Boettge.
