Howard Randall Bancroft, 92, of Clemson and formerly of Keowee Key died Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Clemson Downs.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Erwin Palmer and Lisette Kinkel Bancroft. Howard was a graduate of the University of Michigan and was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company. He was a WWII veteran of the US Army Air Corps.
Surviving are a son, Howard R. Bancroft, Jr. (Barbara) of Albany, NY; daughter, Diane M. Bancroft of Canton, MI; grandchildren, Howard Bancroft III (Lynn), Daniel Bancroft, Timothy Bancroft, Amanda Rugenski and Philip Rugenski; and 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Florence Therese Scanlon Bancroft.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM, Friday in the Sun Room at the Clemson Downs Health Care Center.
The family will have a private committal service in the colombarium of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Seneca, SC.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
