Howard Watson "Waddy" Miller, 81, of 1129 Old Liberty Road, died Wednesday July 22, 2009 at Palmetto Health Baptist - Easley.

Born in Easley, Mr. Miller was the son of the late G. Howard and Lois Mullinnix Miller . He grew up at Glenwood Mill and worked in the weave room until 1945. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in April, 1945. Mr. Miller retired after 24 years of active service as Senior Chief Petty Officer (OSCS). He was a veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Mr. Miller worked and retired from Unisys Corporation as a Computer Field Engineering Specialist. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church.

He is survived by sons, L. Dean Miller (Sandy) of Nashville, Tennessee, Bob Miller (Teresa) and Ken Miller (Sherri), both of Easley, and Corky Miller (Martha) of Liberty; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his Wife, Frances Simmons Miller.

A private funeral service will be held with burial in Westview Cemetery.

The family is at the home of Ken Miller, 1137 Old Liberty Road, Easley.
