Hugh Robert "Bob" Thomson, 87, of 210 Willow Place, died Friday, October 27, 2007 at the Hospice House of Anderson.

Born in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late James Robert and Rosetta Ainsworth Chevin Thomson. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during WWII and was the vice-president of American Steam Ship Company. He was a member of Fairview Southern Methodist Church in Seneca where he was very active in the choir and helped with groundskeeping. He was an avid fisherman and boater.

A very dedicated family man, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wilma Louise Webster Thomson, of the home; a son, Forrest Thomson and wife Lauren of King George, VA; three daughters, Beth Hoch and husband Steve of Athens, OH, Roberta Louise Baumgardner and husband Michael of Bellville, OH, Pamela Sue Kosmer and husband Daniel of Greenville; daughter-in-law, Lynda Thomson; son-in-law, Ronald Rittenhouse; seven grandchildren, Rusty, Brandon, Brittany (Steven), Sara, Danny, Kelly, Scott; and five step-grandchildren, Amy, Karin, Kaitlyn, Scott, and Christopher.

A memorial service will be 11:00 AM Saturday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road with Reverend Perry Sanders officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate; 1835 Rogers Road; Anderson, SC 29621.
