Ida Terry Pitts

Ida Sue Terry Pitts, 98, widow of R.B. Lesley Pitts, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at the Ellenburg Nursing Center in Anderson. A native of Elbert County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Y. and Kate Burden Terry. She was of the Baptist faith and was a kind Christian lady.

She is survived by daughters, Betty Pitts Kelley and Joyce Pitts Hamilton of Pendleton; sister Laura Terry Richardson of Pendleton, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 step great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son Waymon Lesley "Buddy" Pitts, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2pm in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be in Memory Gardens in Clemson. Following the service friends and family will meet at the home of Gwen Flint, 280 Church St., Pendleton, SC 29670.
