Ida S. Thomas

Ida Sargent Sullivan Thomas, 92, of 116 Roper Street, died Friday, March 30, 2007, at Riverside Nursing Center.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late David Seaborn and Cora Leota Whitlock Sargent, Mrs. Thomas retired from the Cateechee Plant of Woodside Mills and was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church where she belonged to the Mothers Sunday School Class.
Surviving are two step-sons, Lester Thomas and Larry Thomas and his wife, Becky, all of Easley; two brothers, Lloyd "Mutt" Sargent and Carl "Tuffy" Sargent, both of Liberty, two sisters, Lois Atkinson of Liberty and Nell Smith of Pickens; two step-granddaughters, Janet T. Sherman and Donna T. Bishop; and three step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas was predeceased by her first husband, Johnny David Sullivan, by her second husband, Clyde Henry Thomas, by two brothers, James Sargent and Rev. Melvin Sargent, two sisters, Beatrice Chapman and Fanny Greer and by a step-daughter-in-law, Jenny Thomas.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Dr. Roger Couch officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
