Ila Willis Elrod Mixon, 80, died Thursday, April 27, 2006, at Hospice of the Upstate. She was a native of Anderson County and a daughter of the late John and Ella Martin Willis.
She retired from Alice Manufacturing in Pendleton, SC. She was a member of University Baptist in Pendleton.
She is survived by a son, William Darrell Elrod and wife, Kathy, of Saluda, SC; daughter, Mary Jo Whitten and husband, Mack, of Townville, SC; sister, Mary Tyner Vinson of Westminster, SC; 12 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased her first husband, Joe William Elrod; second husband, Joe Allen Mixon; five brothers; and three sisters.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Old Stone Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central-Clemson Commons, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
